Profile on Augy Jones
Augy Jones has had a professional journey that blends strategic leadership with a profound commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility (EDIA). His inclusive expertise is underlined not only by his educational pursuits, his work abroad and his personal passion for human equity but also by his robust professional trajectory. He is recently retired from his position as Executive Director of African Nova Scotian Affairs with Nova Scotia provincial government’s Community, Culture, Tourism and Heritage Department. He also held the position of Principal at the Nova Scotia Community College’s Campus in Dartmouth. Central to Augy’s ethos is the belief that “Empathizing Others is the Key to Social Wellness.”
In 2018, he championed this philosophy by launching the “Empathize Others” platform and consultancy, which strives to illuminate the profound benefits of embracing societal differences. A transformative thinker, Augy employs analogies and relational logic rooted in positivity – casting a compelling vision of the compelling power of social understanding and wellness in any space where humans interact. Augy Jones has emerged as a beacon through his contributions, rooted in a rich history and driven by a vision for inclusive excellence and is considered a thought leader in the modern era, inspiring both established professionals and the next generation of leaders.
Profile on Jonathan McCready
Jonathan McCready is known as an uplifting motivator who helps customer-facing teams and leaders navigate change and complexity to achieve their objectives.
Jonathan educates and coaches using 4-D Systems as the foundation for developing high-performing teams. 4-D Systems is a framework and model developed for NASA to measure and build “human skills” in project teams. The framework addresses a team’s “social context” to enable great awareness and accountability, improved communication, with more harmonious, effective and capable teamwork.
Jonathan has delivered transformative team and leadership coaching in diverse organizations and industries such as LTC, healthcare, insurance, travel, hospitality, airline, construction, power and energy industries, and government agencies. When not working, he is an avid cyclist, painter, musician, gardener, and home cook. His passion for learning something new is sparked by observing the beauty and excellence of nature or spending time with family, friends, and a beloved rescue dog.
