The Nursing Homes of Nova Scotia Association (NHNSA) is seeking a strategic, results-driven Executive Director to partner with its Board of Directors to elevate the profile, value, and impact of long-term care across the province.

As the sole employee and principal advisor to the Board, you will translate strategy into measurable outcomes—strengthening membership value, advancing advocacy results, and increasing sector influence at both provincial and national levels.

Key Priorities:

Deliver tangible advocacy outcomes and influence government investment
Partner closely with the Board to execute strategic priorities
Raise and celebrate the profile, visibility, and public value of long-term care
Drive membership growth, engagement, and value
Expand NHNSA’s visibility, partnerships, and revenue
Oversee NHNSA’s public relations and communications to ensure clear, effective, and strategic messaging

You are:
A progressive leader with strong Board Governance support expertise, proven advocacy impact, collaborative communications strengths and motivating interpersonal skills. As a proactive educator and champion for long term care, you demonstrate the ability to be an influencer and difference maker for our sector and can operate independently through strategic discipline.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare/Business or related field (Masters preferred) and/or equivalent management experience in LTC.
