The Nursing Homes of Nova Scotia Association is very pleased to announce the appointment of Debra Boudreau as our Association’s new Executive Director.
Boudreau brings to the position outstanding experience and credentials in leadership, the long-term care sector, other healthcare sectors, human resources, and provincial government healthcare operations. She has 25 years of experience in executive management, team development, and project management.
Boudreau held the position of CEO/Administrator of Tideview Terrace for 20 years, leading the organization in a person-directed approach to long term care with certification from the Eden Alternative international, New York. She is an Associate Certified Coach (ACC Level) and member of the International Coaching Federation and is a Program Consultant, Mentor and Executive Coach with Baracca Management Group.
Earlier in her career she has held positions such as Regional Director and Supervisor of Assessment Services, Continuing Care Branch, Department of Health, Province of Nova Scotia and Seasonal Lecturer /Teaching Assistant , Master of Science Program, School of Occupational Therapy, Dalhousie University and the Occupational Therapy Service and Day Hospital Program, South West Nova Scotia District Health Authority.
Boudreau has an impressive record of education and professional development certification in areas such as change management, LEAN Management, Professional and Business Executive Coaching, Psychologically Safe Workplaces, Team building and more. She holds a Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy, post professional as well as a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, all from Dalhousie University.
